TTTT - Round 2 Results

A super windy day greeted a small group of tough riders. Wes won the day and set a new PR by 4 seconds. On the ladies side consistent Kellie won the day. Other PR's went to Josh Martell, who shaved it by 30 seconds, Tyler who pushed his best 9 seconds faster, and Matt H. who beat his best by 12 seconds. Wes's 4 second jumped proved significant historically. He jumped one spot up into 6th all time replacing Alan Adams.

UM Triathlon Weekend Update

This time of year is important in the world of collegiate and Montana Triathlon. Collegiate Triathlon Nationals is next weekend and the Grizzly Triathlon is April 23rd. Local Pros; Brendan Halpin, Linsey Corbin, Matt Shryock, and Adam Jensen will be competing next weekend in the Oceanside 70.3. We need someone on the inside. For collegiate that man is Myke Hermsmeyer. Not only is Myke a scholar athlete he's good at picking brackets. He's going heads up with Mtcx for the win in our pool.

Johnny Montana reclaims his title at the 2011 Lewiston Duathlon. Improving on his time from last year his finished at 51:59. He looks fit and poised for Nationals after a solid winter training schedule. Competition was fiercer than last year and he had several others right on his tail, but fortunate for UM Triathlon they came from members Aaron Little and Ben Lovelace. Aaron finished a close second behind John and Ben finished fourth at 56:59. Filling in the top four, in third place, was UM Tri alumni Michael "Dean of Discipline" Gordon coming off the couch from Walla Walla. The other attending UM Tri members looked impressive in the early season. Newcomer and team baker Hannah Riedl killed it for the woman, finishing second, and Kaitlin Kominsky looked impressive finishing first for woman 20-24. Rounding out the team was Myke Hermsmeyer in 11th, Ed Hirsh in 12th, and Ryan Graebe, showing some mental fortitude and man strength, completing the race after crashing his steelframe, riding out bloody with a bent wheel and no brakes and coming in 21st. The UM Triathlon team is looking solid heading into this years season.
