Back in January Brian came to visit for a week in Missoula. We nordic skied and reminisced about the good old days racing collegiate. He was in between things and hadn't figured out what he wanted to do with his life. Well, I guess he wanted to race bikes. This past weekend he killed the 3's. Brian won the road race on a solo breakaway and took the crit in a field sprint. In collegiate races he was always super strong, and grabbed victories left and right. However, he never really showed his face in USCF races. Two weekends ago he soloed to a victory at the Boat Street Criterium. He's a rider for the future for sure. Look for Brian as a mechanic on Adventure Cycling Tours or killing folks in WA criteriums. I'll see if I can't convince him to come out for Tour of the Bitterroot. This photo is him in the Bozeman collegiate race last year climbing L&C Caverns.
